tropicalpants
My shoulda-been favourite pants that aren’t a favourite at all. I’d love these if it weren’t for the fact that the fabric bags out so easily and doesn’t recover well. (Post here)

What’s coming down the pike for 2018? One thing I know for sure is I won’t be buying any ready-to-wear clothes. I’ve taken the 2018 RTW Fasters pledge. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes.

Here’s wishing you a very happy and healthy 2018!

Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Hey Lori – what a great year you’ve had in so many ways. Mighty impressive. Love the silver bauble with the jewel inside. Want to make one. What would I google for that? I love what you’re wearing in the New Year’s pic – that print!!! Is it something you made? If so, where did you get the fabric.
    Happy New Year!!!

    1. Hi Barbara. Good question. I couldn’t find the technique on google, either. I learned it from Gillian Batcher, who runs Jewel Envy, so maybe you can find more info on their website: http://www.jewelenvy.ca/
And that dress — not something I made, but I agree that print is amazing. I’ve had that dress for over 10 years and I remember actually gasping when I saw it. It’s a mini dress with bell sleeves and the mod print has silver metallic accents. If I ever saw fabric for sale like it I would buy it by the bolt! 🙂

      1. Thanks Lori. I’ll check it out. And as for the fabulous dress fabric – I hope you’d get some for me too – or at least share your bolt!!!
